Having some rack equiptment would be amazing!
Everything you've ever read about it say's it's more fuss than it's
worth

There's so much second-hand stuff available, great prices too
There's a reason for that. Nobody wants it.

One mans trash...
You don't know how much its been used

But at that price...
Nothing is meant to be used in the home. It's noisy as hell

I could put it in the basement, its the perfect space
You want the higher energy bills why?

The photos that other people post look so impressive
There is no support for anything

It can't be that hard
You struggle with truenas

It would be a good way to learn new skills
You aren't ever going to work in that environment

How powerful it would be though
You run Plex and a couple of arrs

I could run other things
Like what?

Just, other things.
Whats wrong with your current server? Its small, economical, easy to
maintain and has all the support you could ever need.

But it's finished!


Ultimately I love my little cupboard-warmer. But every so often I get
bored and start looking at auctions...
