Servarr/Plex users. Can you stop upgraded versions being added to "recently added"? reddit / selfhosted ---------------------------------------------------------------------- MarkPugnerIII · 2023-11-14 14:36 I have Sonarr and Radarr set up upgrade things to the best quality. Often an old show or movie pops up as recently added in Plex because it was upgraded. Anyone know a way to stop that? I want things to show up in recently added once, when they first get added. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Fuzzdump · 2023-11-14 18:34 I just tested this by upgrading a TV show, and it doesn’t happen for me. Plex only shows brand new items under the Recently Added sections, not upgraded items. Is there anything unusual about your setup? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Chex_Mix · 2023-11-14 22:58 Disable the setting in Plex to automatically empty trash. With that setting enabled Plex is deleting the media from the database as soon as the file is deleted and before the new version is written, causing it to appear as newly added. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- MarkPugnerIII · 2023-11-14 23:35 Is there any consequences? Do you need to manually empty trash or is it cleaned up on a schedule? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Chex_Mix · 2023-11-15 00:16 The items in the trash are just placeholders for the metadata. They might show up as "unavailable" if the media is deleted (not upgraded). You can always empty it manually if you see this. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- MarkPugnerIII · 2023-11-15 01:09 Cool, thanks
