WebDAV under MacOS X 10.15 reddit / selfhosted ---------------------------------------------------------------------- -francesco_ · 2023-11-13 22:47 Australian universities are decommissioning OwnCloud, which gave me access to WebDAV to sync my Zotero library across devices. I want to use an old Mac Mini (Intel running macOS 10.15) as a WebDAV server. I've tried already installing OwnCloud and NextCloud but I couldn't install Docker (for OwnCloud) or PHP (for NextCloud) because of compatibility issues between the Docker/PHP and my macOS (which I don't want to upgrade to avoid slowing down my already slow Mac Mini...). My question is: since I only need WebDAV, what other (possibly simpler) options could I explore? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Koltsz · 2023-11-13 23:25 If you are having an issue with docker then you can this instead. Little bit more hands on but it will work. https://github.com/ViRb3/webdav-server ---------------------------------------------------------------------- helmut72 · 2023-11-14 00:47 https://rclone.org/commands/rclone\_serve\_webdav/ ---------------------------------------------------------------------- adamshand · 2023-11-14 04:35 I used Apache's webdav server for years for this kind of thing. https://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.4/mod/mod_dav.html Caddy also has webdav support: https://caddyserver.com/docs/modules/http.handlers.webdav ---------------------------------------------------------------------- GuiltyRecord0 · 2023-11-14 06:41 What year is your old Mac mini?, I upgraded my 2012 mini with open core legacy patcher to run Ventura, and it’s faster now and I installed the latest version of docker with any issues. https://dortania.github.io/OpenCore-Legacy-Patcher/ ---------------------------------------------------------------------- GuiltyRecord0 · 2023-11-14 06:42 Sorry😆, installed Docker WITHOUT any issues
