RPI Backup Solution for PC data and Time Machine Backups reddit / selfhosted ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Ok-Sun7936 · 2023-11-13 05:35 Hey guys, I've got a RPI lying around along with a 2TB hard drive. I would like to use them to create TimeMachine backups of my MacBook on partition and use another partition to backup my documents from my PC. I currently have a PIHole running on the said RPI 3 Model B over a Tailscale network with all devices above connected to it. I have SSH setup as well. What would you guys recommend? Is it a good idea to create TimeMachine backups this way or should I just create regular incremental backups of my MacBook. For my PC data I used to have Macrium Reflect but my plan expired and I wish to escape the subscription model. Assume that I'm confident with configuring the system, I just need some clarity on if this is the best way to do it. For context, I have another 1.5 TB drive in my pc that has stored my Macrium Reflect data and another 1 TB portable drive which is a hot copy of my PC data and MacBook data encrypted with veracrypt. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- [deleted] · 2023-11-13 08:10 [removed]
