Private Docker registry behind Cloudflare tunnel: receiving http 413 when trying to push images. What's the best solution? reddit / selfhosted ---------------------------------------------------------------------- rooood · 2023-11-12 19:07 I'm self hosting a Docker registry and putting it with a custom subdomain through a Cloudflare tunnel, like my other services. It works perfectly when using it from my local network, but now I'm trying to build and push an image using GitHub actions for my CI/CD, and that's failing with a 413. I found out that Cloudflare limits uploads on their free plan to 100mb, and as Docker images are much larger than that, what's the best alternative? I've considered these options, but they all seem either too complex, or too insecure, are not free, or it'll take away from my self hosted resources that I don't have a lot of: 1. Using a self hosted GitHub runner and building the image locally 1. Using CF only as a proxy, or not using it at all, and giving up the tunnel security 1. Hosting the registry in the cloud ---------------------------------------------------------------------- cdemi · 2023-11-12 19:16 Maybe you can connect to a VPN from the GitHub action and publish to the registry through the VPN (skipping Cloudflare tunnel)
