Paperless-ngx for US dates reddit / selfhosted ---------------------------------------------------------------------- LazyTech8315 ยท 2023-11-11 22:39 Please direct me if there is a better place to ask. I have installed Paperless-NGX as an app on TrueNAS Scale and I can tell I'm really going to like having it. So far I've scanned in about 820 documents (and shredded 90% of them!) However, as I'm reviewing them as part of the workflow I see lots of dates messed up. It's configured for US English and the localization is using MM/DD/YYYY as the format when displaying dates but OCR is reading them as DD/MM/YYYY. When the date has a spelled out month, like June 4, 2023, it is entered into the database and correctly displayed as 6/4/2023. However, if OCR sees 6/4/2023 on the document, it records it incorrectly and localization displays it as 4/6/2023. It gets worse if it sees 10/25/2023 and doesn't even recognize it as a date, since there is no 25th month! LOL Has anyone been able to change this behavior? Can the Kubernetes version be modified for my use? Thank you!
