I tried googling each model and reading about them each but I'm not really seeing the differences. I just need a 48 port gigabit rack mount switch with poe. Which of these would you guys recommend? Catalyst 2960-X Series 48 /$100 Catalyst 3560 Series PoE 48 /$50 Catalyst 3750 Series PoE 48 /$50 Catalyst 3750G Series PoE 48 /$50 Catalyst 3750 Series 48 /$50 SG 200-50 Port Gigabit Smart Switch /$50 Cisco 3925/k9 /$50 Cisco Nexus 5010 /$100 Thank you all!!!! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- thekrautboy · 2023-11-11 03:15 Try /r/HomeNetworking /r/Homelab instead. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Rare-Forever-5797 · 2023-11-11 03:30 2960-x is the newest. You’ll want to make sure you get Poe+ for things that may need 30w vs 15w. Oh and the 2960x isn’t a l3 switch, but the profile can be changed so you have simple static routing. Plus I think it has some power saving features??? Otherwise the 3750g is gigabit. Others probably aren’t. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Rare-Forever-5797 · 2023-11-11 03:33 That smart switch may fit you if you don’t want to learn the cli The 3925 is probably a router? The nexus may be too loud for home or office use.
