Without running virtual environments and all that other stuff, just a
simple program that doesn't have to always be running, but can use
whatever available space I have on my laptop's hard drive as a home
base to sync data too?

I'm currently using Joplin and dropbox's photo uploading feature, and
im about to run out of 2tb space. I would like to just be able to sync
those services to my laptop without going through the hassle of
docker, nextcloud, etc. I will be setting up a proper homelab down the
road, and my experience with docker desktop so far hasn't been ok, so
I'm putting it off until later before fully tackling my ideal, endgame
setup. For now, I'd like to just be able to securely sync my files
from joplin and my photos to my pc, without using dropbox as a middle
man.

Thanks.
