I'm lost trying to setup Traefik with Let’s Encryp and Duck DNS for remote Jellyfin access, are there any easier methods? reddit / selfhosted ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Zestyclose_Car1088 · 2023-11-10 16:17 Or any recent guides? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- GolemancerVekk · 2023-11-10 16:22 Nginx Proxy Manager should be pretty straightforward. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- BryanofBebbanburg · 2023-11-10 16:40 Caddy is easy to set up. Make sure it has access to ports 80 and 443; then configure your services in a text document called Caddyfile. For Jellyfin you’d need a line like this: jellyfin.domain.net { reverse_proxy 127.0.0.1:8096 } That’s it, essentially. [Here] (https://jellyfin.org/docs/general/networking/caddy) is Jellyfin’s own documentation. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- thekrautboy · 2023-11-10 17:51 > Or any recent guides? No sorry, nobody has ever written any guides about reverse proxy with Lets Encrypt. Ever. And nobody has ever made any YouTube videos about. Its a shame. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- tenekev · 2023-11-10 18:47 [TechnoTim on wildcard certs](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=liV3c9m_OX8) Instead of using Duck DNS, buy a cheap domain, register it with Cloudflare, set up "cloudflared" which dynamically updates your DNS records - a DIY DDNS. You could even call it DDDNS. That way you are in control of the whole chain. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- hdddanbrown · 2023-11-10 19:27 This has been asked and explained hundreds of times already here alone, why dont you simply use the search? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- user01401 · 2023-11-11 15:16 cloudflared One running service and that's it.
