I made a few small apps, available to run as docker containers... reddit / selfhosted ---------------------------------------------------------------------- TheWicklowWolf · 2023-11-10 13:53 LidaTube - Get missing albums from Lidarr and download via YouTube (yt\_dlp) [https://github.com/TheWicklowWolf/LidaTube](https://github.com/TheWic klowWolf/LidaTube) https://preview.redd.it/6a8976tayizb1.png?width=1366&format=png&auto=w ebp&s=9bb05b435c1c9bb6fbaf04b44607999ca9bae034 SpotTube - Download a Spotify playlist via YouTube (yt\_dlp) [https://github.com/TheWicklowWolf/SpotTube](https://github.com/TheWic klowWolf/SpotTube) https://preview.redd.it/9hi122p1zizb1.png?width=1366&format=png&auto=w ebp&s=bb1bba387b3fa2197a265937cba2b81b0ddee39f Syncify - Sync a Spotify playlist via YouTube (yt\_dlp) [https://github.com/TheWicklowWolf/Syncify](https://github.com/TheWick lowWolf/Syncify) These are just some basic apps that may be useful. Also apologies if you've seen this before, there were some account-related hiccups etc. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- fuken33 · 2023-11-10 16:17 Cool apps man ---------------------------------------------------------------------- TheWicklowWolf · 2023-11-10 17:06 Definitely a bit rough and ready but they should work... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- s_91 · 2023-11-10 17:58 LidaTube seems elite, since the app is in Python you can try to add [Scheduling](https://schedule.readthedocs.io/en/stable/) task to run every x hour -> pull missing songs -> convert and save. [Starting Point](https://pastebin.com/wkqhVp2e) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- SaaS_maker · 2023-11-10 18:25 Cool idea, do you think it can sell as saas? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- s_91 · 2023-11-10 18:31 Reported this bot. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- SaaS_maker · 2023-11-10 18:35 What? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Lanten101 · 2023-11-10 21:51 Wow, amazing man. Gave up on lidar and self hosted music due lots of missing music on torrent. With yt integration makes it simple and can get almost everything from YouTube . Thanks ---------------------------------------------------------------------- -SHINSTER007 · 2023-11-11 02:33 [check out this exchange](https://old.reddit.com/r/github/comments/17s 9xa8/the_repo_with_the_most_potential/k8oifki/) they had where he asked for a repo in which he could develop a project on and someone posted the linux kernel 😂 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- TheWicklowWolf · 2023-11-11 11:01 You could do Scheduling but this was more of a backup for Lidarr. The idea was to let Lidarr get as much as possible, and then this would fill in the gaps.. Ideally there will be an option on Lidarr to use yt_dlp at some stage down the line ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Defiant-Ad-5513 · 2023-11-11 14:48 Is the UI completly self made? I like the style. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- sternbear87 · 2023-11-11 15:42 Cool apps, I made the apps available for the UnRaid Community Appstore... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- TheWicklowWolf · 2023-11-11 21:15 It's self made using bootstrap 👍 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- TheWicklowWolf · 2023-11-11 21:20 I know nothing about UnRaid but can you pull from docker hub? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- sternbear87 · 2023-11-11 21:32 I used the docker compose to create the unraid app and yes, it pulls from docker hub. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- TheWicklowWolf · 2023-11-11 21:57 Cool 👍 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- MikeHods · 2023-11-12 01:15 Cool stuff. I've been using Spot-DL to grab songs from my Spotify playlist, but I do like having a UI so I don't have to SSH. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- mattague · 2023-11-14 03:26 One question about lidatube, does this do anything in the way of importing the music into the library or do I need to do that manually? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Techtekteq · 2023-11-14 05:24 Loving Lidatube already If it could use Artist/Album name/songs.mp3 I could download straight into the Lidarr Catalog and let lidarr take it from there. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- TheWicklowWolf · 2023-11-14 13:43 No, it just gets the music from YouTube via yt_dlp. Lidarr should pick up and match most of the songs though (either set the download path into where lidarr has access or copy over manually) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- TheWicklowWolf · 2023-11-14 13:46 Yeah sounds like a decent idea, I'll probably do that at some stage. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- TheWicklowWolf · 2023-11-14 14:20 Done, see how that works for you ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Techtekteq · 2023-11-15 13:50 I'll update in the morning, Thankyou ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Techtekteq · 2023-11-16 08:11 That works perfectly, Lidar can handle renames from there. I have noticed that Lidarr doesn't recognise some songs, wierd issue. Thankyou. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- TheWicklowWolf · 2023-11-16 12:31 Yeah, I think the issue is due to the accuracy of metadata from YouTube. I'm not sure if I can get any more metadata out of yt_dlp tho... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Techtekteq · 2023-11-16 23:31 Yeah probably, it's more of a Libarr issue too as it won't even let you manually import them. Great job tho, Bookbounty is also awesome. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- TheWicklowWolf · 2023-11-17 17:44 Updated it to try match the default Lidarr pattern, hopefully that helps ---------------------------------------------------------------------- TheCronus89 · 2023-11-17 18:23 Love lidaTube it worked great and quick on an artist that lidarr will never find. have you thought of having it move the files like lidarr would do? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- TheWicklowWolf · 2023-11-17 18:40 Not really... but I've made a change so the file structure should nearly match what Lidarr does, so you could mount the folder into your music library. That way you would download directly into the folder and Lidarr should be able to pick them up.. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- TheCronus89 · 2023-11-17 19:48 I would prefer to keep my music on the same share i have setup. I'll likely just see if i can copy it manually over and rescan in lidarr to see if it picks it up. Thanks for a cool tool! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Techtekteq · 2023-11-20 01:31 Very nice, Works wonders. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- TheWicklowWolf · 2023-11-21 15:42 FYI - Made similar update to BookBounty ---------------------------------------------------------------------- G_WRECK · 2023-11-22 08:22 Do you happen to know anything about Unraid? I'm trying to get Lidatube working (absolutely genius idea by the way) but it's not actually downloading anything despite the UI showing progress and then "Download Complete" ---------------------------------------------------------------------- TheWicklowWolf · 2023-11-22 10:58 Never used Unraid so I'm not sure if there is a specific issue with that. It sounds like it's working but you just can't see the files in the container. Maybe check you're mount, and that the docker-compose is correct... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Techtekteq · 2023-11-22 12:14 Oh wow, that is awesome. Don't suppose you've thought of something for radarr and sonarr to ytdl from free streaming sites like fmovies. Not as needed, but I use video download helper to get things that I just can't find through other means. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- TheWicklowWolf · 2023-11-22 13:31 I haven't needed anything extra for radarr or sonarr so probably not... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- BriefQuirky · 2023-11-22 16:01 Check your downloaded folder permissions you are pointing to are read/write. When created by the container, the permission was rw r r. Changing to rw rw rw fixed. Check your logs to verify. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- BriefQuirky · 2023-11-22 21:24 Great app. I really like the niche it fills. Thanks for sharing it. Another vote here for importing directly to lidarr, especially since the API is already being used. Would a shell script example help? Here's one, line 872 [here](https://github.com/RandomNinjaAtk/arr- scripts/blob/main/lidarr/Audio.service.bash) I believe. This would be very slick to add so as to automate and not require user intervention. I think the downloads location mapping may need to be changed for Lidarr. I only have basic understanding though. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- G_WRECK · 2023-11-23 03:32 Thank you for the reply. It was a permission/owner issue. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- G_WRECK · 2023-11-23 03:33 Permissions and change of owner did the trick. Thank you! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- TheWicklowWolf · 2023-11-23 12:01 I was more concerned with just retrieving the music, and didn't really plan for Lidarr integration. You can change the mounts so that LidaTube writes directly into the same location as Lidarr. It is now setup to pretty much match the format Lidarr uses: Artist -> Album -> Filename Then the only manual step is a rescan (and maybe some files don't get mapped so you'd have to manually map them) So I could probably add a rescan/refresh library at the end when it's finished downloading everything to automate that... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- BriefQuirky · 2023-11-23 17:18 Thanks for considering the idea. The KISS method is fine too. I'll copy them myself. I have a complicated, unconventional setup anyway. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- BriefQuirky · 2023-11-27 18:38 Mounting to the music library works. Thanks for that suggestion. Is it possible to do a range of missing items? The way it currently is as I've experienced, it's getting a list from 1 to 250. Say, once those are done, can we select 251 to 500, and so forth? Or, even ask it to do progressive batches as such? I think there's a memory limit after some number of thousands at-a-time. The left side \[de\]selection gets laborious after a couple hundred. Select all works, yes, but deselecting is one-by-one. Or, can deselecting a range of already ticked selections be done? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- TheWicklowWolf · 2023-11-27 20:15 No, I didn't set it up for ranges. The idea was to download first and then import into Lidarr, and that should remove them from the missing list. You can change the number of retrieved items... I'm not sure what the max, I didn't have enough to break it.. so you can change it to whatever you need and maybe increase the timeout aswell. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- MightDisastrous2184 · 2023-12-04 08:52 This is very nice. I'm having a little play around with it but since it connects to the api, could you make it match the same naming dynamic that you have configured in lidarr? Then it would be good for it to dump directly into your music library ---------------------------------------------------------------------- TheWicklowWolf · 2023-12-04 12:13 Not sure if that's in the API, but I have a look at it for V2... I don't think it's a major issue anyway, once the files are in Lidarr/mapped correctly, you can just get Lidarr to rename them to whatever your structure is.
