Problems updating Mandos on RPi reddit / selfhosted ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Big-Finding2976 · 2023-11-09 02:17 I've been having problems getting Mandos to work, so I'm trying to update it to the latest version on my RPi 2 Model B running Raspian 11 (bullseye). If I run apt-get update with the following lines in /etc/apt/sources.list deb https://ftp.recompile.se/pub/mandos/debian bullseye-backports main deb-src https://ftp.recompile.se/pub/mandos/debian bullseye-backports main I get an error about the signature being invalid, and if I comment out those lines and create /etc/apt/sources.list.d/mandos.sources as shown here for bullseye [Mandos (recompile.se)](https://www.recompile.se/mandos#Download) and download the key, apt-get update says that the repository doesn't support armhf architecture. Can someone help me with this please, as I really need to get Mandos working first before setting up anything else on my server? I've pasted the full output here [Update Mandos errors - Pastebin.com](https://pastebin.com/UWjFakyM) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- thekrautboy · 2023-11-09 02:26 As you can see here https://ftp.recompile.se/pub/mandos/debian/dists/bullseye-backports/ that repo doesnt offer any ARM platforms. You simply cant use from there what doesnt exist. Find it somewhere else, contact the creators or compile it yourself. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Big-Finding2976 · 2023-11-09 13:50 OK, thanks. I'll stick with the version that is available in the default repo for now then. Another problem I have is with mandos-client. It installs on my server (Debian 11) when I do 'apt-get install mandos-client' but when I try to run it with 'mandos-client' or 'sudo mandos-client' it says 'command not found'. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- thekrautboy · 2023-11-09 16:10 https://packages-pkgmirror-csail.debian.org/bullseye/amd64/mandos- client/filelist Maybe try /r/LinuxQuestions /r/Linux4Noobs or just simply /r/TechSupport ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Big-Finding2976 · 2023-11-09 16:22 Thanks. All the files seem to be present, but they're not being found for some reason. I'll ask for help with this on those other subs you've suggested. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Big-Finding2976 · 2023-11-09 19:17 I found a way to update it. If you add one of the mirrors listed here: [https://packages-pkgmirror-csail.debian.org/bullseye/armhf/mandos- client/download](https://packages-pkgmirror- csail.debian.org/bullseye/armhf/mandos-client/download) and then run 'sudo apt-get update' it will probably say that the key is missing. Then you can get the missing key using: sudo apt-key adv --keyserver keyserver.ubuntu.com --recv-keys xxx where xxx is the ID for the missing key and then 'sudo apt-get install mandos' will install the latest version. mandos-client still doesn't work, but hopefully I'll find a fix for that too.
