Narrowlink 0.2.0 - Peer-to-Peer Connectivity and TUN Interface reddit / selfhosted ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Sajjad-Pourali · 2023-11-07 22:54 Hi selfhosters, I wanted to share an update on Narrowlink, an open-source self-hosted network access platform I introduced [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/s elfhosted/comments/15nyvz7/narrowlink_network_access_platform_publish_ and/) a few months ago. If you don't remember what is narrowlink, please take look on the [here](https://narrowlink.com/docs/intro). I've just released version 0.2.0 which adds some major new capabilities: * **P2P connectivity** \- Previously Narrowlink relied on a gateway for all connections, but now it can establish direct peer-to-peer connectivity using the QUIC protocol. This improves performance and reduces latency. The old "relay mode" is still available as a fallback by default. [Establishing a peer-to-peer connection to a remote SSH server behind a NAT](https://preview.redd.it/qq6cj97490zb1.png?width=1644&format=png &auto=webp&s=4094d55e584c613ca9188622a8d44df37ab1d651) * **TUN interface** \- Narrowlink can now optionally use a TUN interface to receive traffic directly from the IP layer. This allows it to support a wider variety of applications compared to just SOCKS proxies. The TUN feature is experimental so use with care. There are also improvements to certificate handling, simplified access control, and general stability/performance enhancements. You can read all the details in my [full blog post here](https://narrowlink.com/blog/Narrowlink-0.2.0-Peer-to-Peer- Connectivity-and-TUN-Interface). I'm grateful for all the encouragement and feedback from the community so far. Let me know if you have any questions! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Defiant-Ad-5513 · 2023-11-08 21:16 Is there a multiarch docker container for the server part ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Sajjad-Pourali · 2023-11-08 21:33 Hello, I still haven't created its docker container. I will most likely create it in the next week and ping you here.
