Is there a resource for viewing a collection of IP cameras? reddit / selfhosted ---------------------------------------------------------------------- guardian1691 · 2023-11-07 21:06 I'm currently using the Surveillance Station on a Synology NAS. We have a couple of Wyze cams and I flashed them with RTSP firmware. For quick access, we just pull up the Wyze app. I'm thinking about getting another, off-brand camera, but I want to make sure my wife can easily open it on her phone. Ideally this would be via an app, but I might be able to get away with a shortcut to the local stream that opens in VLC or something like that. But what I'd really like to be be able to do is set up some monitors around the house with a stream of all cameras. Is this something that I could make dedicate a Raspberry Pi toward? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- NMS-Town · 2023-11-07 21:13 I can't remember the exact name of a couple of them, and I can't check atm, but [https://mariushosting.com/](https://mariushosting.com/) is the place to check. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Crazy-Hall8823 · 2023-11-07 21:14 Spankys self hosted spy shack is decent ---------------------------------------------------------------------- jogai-san · 2023-11-07 22:08 https://codeberg.org/SentryShot/sentryshot ---------------------------------------------------------------------- edthesmokebeard · 2023-11-07 23:02 zoneminder ---------------------------------------------------------------------- janstadt · 2023-11-07 23:23 Frigate ---------------------------------------------------------------------- InappropriateGeek · 2023-11-07 23:34 I run home assistant with frigate integrated into it. Then I can access it via the HA mobile app. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- guardian1691 · 2023-11-07 23:36 Unfortunately frigate was too much for my NAS to run. I'm not using my pi for anything anymore though so maybe that's a good swap. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- WimbashBagel · 2023-11-08 00:22 Tinycam ---------------------------------------------------------------------- mpopgun · 2023-11-08 02:08 Geovision nvr software supports 3rd party IP cameras. I don't remember how many you get for free without buying a license. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- 107269088 · 2023-11-08 02:33 BlueIris works great for this also, if you don’t mind hosting a Windows machine ---------------------------------------------------------------------- guardian1691 · 2023-11-08 02:48 Not an option unfortunately. All I've got is an RPi3, the Synology NAS, and an old Mac mini ---------------------------------------------------------------------- HoustonBOFH · 2023-11-08 04:43 This. Lightweight, simple, and works in a browser but also has an app. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Illeazar · 2023-11-08 06:22 Another vote for Blue Iris if you ever end up getting machine that can run it ;) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- tech2but1 · 2023-11-08 09:34 I use this on Pis for multiple camera views. https://github.com/Anonymousdog/displaycameras ---------------------------------------------------------------------- nerdiestnerdballer · 2023-11-08 13:00 Shinobi ---------------------------------------------------------------------- pwoar90 · 2023-11-08 19:42 Your old mac mini should be able to run zoneminder. Its open source, has a mobile app, and can be set up with motion zones. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- nonP01NT · 2023-11-08 21:26 https://github.com/SvenVD/rpisurv Kind of like displaycameras but works with the newer OS versions, I believe.
