Cloudflare tunnel with duckdns domain name reddit / selfhosted ---------------------------------------------------------------------- mlc1703 · 2023-11-06 21:56 I've currently got a .xyz domain from cloudflare and successfully set up a cloudflare tunnel to my pi to access internal apps via [app.name.xyz](https://app.name.xyz). All is working as expected. The .xyz domain name is expiring in the near future and even though it is pretty cheap, free is even better! My research shows it is not possible to use a duckdns domain name and a cloudflare tunnel since there is no way change the dns name servers for a duckdns domain. Am I correct in that? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- PaleMongo · 2023-11-06 22:17 If you're not using the domain for email, then let it expire and get the cheapest promotional domain (check out [Porkbun](https://porkbun.com/) to replace it. It may take a half-hour to set up a new CF account/tunnel. Do that a week before your current domain expires, to be sure you have the connectivity you need. No free DDNS domain will work with CF. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- [deleted] · 2023-11-07 00:15 [removed] ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Ethan992 · 2023-11-07 07:56 You can use CNAME flattening I think and that's it
