Need help figuring out what to do reddit / selfhosted ---------------------------------------------------------------------- the-programmer-2022 · 2023-11-05 21:53 Hey guys! So I am setting up some old computers I got, I have set up services on them Nextcloud Jellyfin Immich Crafty (Minecraft Server hosting) more to come soon all those services are split up between 2 computers, and I was wondering if any of you would know how i could go about using nginx or apache to set all this up with a domain name ([nextcloud.domain.com](https://nextcloud.domain.com), [jellyfun.domain.com](https://jellyfun.domain.com), [photos.domain.com](https://photos.domain.com) etc), I have a raspberry pi i can use to host nginx, and somehow tell nginx to foward the domain name to each individual server and port? I appreciate and help, and hopefully this was clear enough. I'm still learning so sorry if I don't make any sense, haha ---------------------------------------------------------------------- indykoning · 2023-11-05 23:12 Yes, this is exactly what a reverse proxy does! Nginx can be used as a reverse proxy (perhaps more user friendly to use Nginx Proxy Manager) Traefik as well if you're linking together docker clusters There are a lot of reverse proxy options out there so look around! I think in your situation I'd go with Nginx Proxy Manager ---------------------------------------------------------------------- thekrautboy · 2023-11-05 23:23 Search this sub for "reverse proxy"... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- the-programmer-2022 · 2023-11-06 00:02 Thank you! Do you know of any good tutorials for this specific use case? I'd like to only set it up once and not do it again on a different machine... Also for ease of maintenance
