Changedetection.io im really amateur, how to install it on docker? reddit / selfhosted ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Rhyrok · 2023-11-04 19:21 So I have been lurking the wiki and the web for 3 hours already. I managed to install the changedetection using the docker compose (I have docker desktop windows), but I cant enable the browser-chrome and playwright-chrome. The only thing I did was to uncomment the respective rows mentioned on the wiki on docker-compose and restarted the container. I also installed Selenium but the instructions is using Firefox. I\`m completely lost on what I need to do. Using python (not docker) I managed to install it and also install browser-chrome, but got stuck in playwright-chrome so thats why I started to use docker. Is there a very dumb step by step of what I need to do? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- getgoingfast · 2023-11-04 19:56 You need to install selenium and playwright-chrome Docker container and link it with Changedetection.io. It's part of documentation. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- reklis · 2023-11-04 23:52 Use this docker-compose.yaml: [https://bpa.st/HVYQ](https://bpa.st/HVYQ) then just \`docker compose up\` ---------------------------------------------------------------------- thekrautboy · 2023-11-05 01:20 /r/changedetectionio ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Rhyrok · 2023-11-05 13:53 Hi Thanks, this is how it looks like now my docker. https://ibb.co/rFBmC13 Still cant use either playwright or webdriver. For webdriver I see that I need to set a env variable somewhere for WEBDRIVER\_URL since I can only access my selenium through [http://localhost:4444/ui](http://localhost:4444/ui) but the changedetection is trying to access the URL http://browser- chrome:4444/wd/hub For playwright, I also tried to uncomment row 29 of your file since it seems to be part of the instructions, but it still dont detect it ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Rhyrok · 2023-11-05 14:05 Actually I followed the instructions based on Docker (and not docker compose) and managed to make selenium work. Playwright is installed, but now I dont have a dockercomposer file anymore to uncomment the rows. So a bit lost here.
