Thank. You. So. Much.
I wish I could still give you Reddit gold.

The last time I asked for this, someone replied that I should "just"
find the dockerfile and put my own image together.

Not all of us are that savvy, I only understood the concept of docker
and docker compose lately.

From someone that still has a lot to learn, **thank you**

To be fair to the person who replied to you, it is "just" two commands
to create a container from a Dockerfile,

`docker build -t my container .`

`docker run -d (any additional arguments) my-container`

And the docker docs outline the process pretty clearly if you were
ever curious: https://docs.docker.com/get-started/02_our_app/

They're a bit rough and ready but they should work... see how you go

Not too bad when you know how... also that's the easy part, finding
something to put in the container is a different story

How can I convince you to switch to Alpine as your base image?

----------------------------------------------------------------------
TheWicklowWolf · 2023-11-03 19:05

I would but building then takes too long

ElevenNotes · 2023-11-03 19:07

Wait, what?
