I have been home labbing and self-hosting for a bit. I have quite a few pieces of equipment I take care of, and I have struggled to find something to fit my needs for a while that I could host myself to keep track of everything. After complaining about it enough I decided to take a swing at creating my own thing. I plan to figure out GitHub a little bit and add it to UNRAID. After a month of learning all of this new tech.... Here goes some screen shots of MATER! Maintenance. Asset. Tracking. Equipment. Registry. Basically to track assets and service done to them. \-Add assets \-Add services (with attachment support and future due dates) \-downloadable calendar events. Fully open to any and all suggestions. This is my first whack at docker (I'm by no means a programmer) but I have used Flask connected to a sqlite DB with basic html and js to get me started. any tips for newbies like me is appreciated. I am trying to get this on GitHub to get some outside support. Having a full time job and two little kids is hard on dev time Wishlist: Calendar sub feed, mobile app, maybe a QR code generator... I have been looking for a replacement for aCar. If this could add a mobile app, fuel economy tracking and service reminders, I would be so stoked! I am looking for what other people use it it for. I am currently working on adding attachments to the asset and service. I didn't even know aCar was a think. Hope I can help out a few people. Between my few cars and lawnmower I just don't have a central place to keep everything repairs, parking ect.... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Judman13 · 2023-11-03 15:30 My biggest use case is maintenance reminders. aCar used to be a great app that was buy once premium kinda deal and it handled pdf uploads and synced across apps. Then Fuelly bought it for the data mining and started to lock features behind a monthly subscription. So I just use it to record fill ups on my vehicles and then that drives the maintenance schedules. I am more than happy to share anything about my use case and historical data over pm. I moved away from just cars to call it assets. I myself have a bunch of things in HA that I don't know if I would want to create something for different for a MQTT push when updates are available and then push to central spot. I'm not sure where this thing is going to go. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- TheRyGuy994 · 2023-11-05 22:02 Any more use-cases will help me out shape the app. I’ve added attachments for records pictures for assets. Also thinking about making an asset type and service type so users can either use the default or create their own. I think I’m at a stable point to throw it on GitHub. I was messing around on it last night and figured out how to connect docker to it.
