How expose Bookstack to internet? reddit / selfhosted ---------------------------------------------------------------------- 9acca9 · 2023-11-02 19:00 it works... just that if i use the local ip then i cant access from outside my network (i can from inside), if i use my ip public i can access from outside... but cant access from local network. Example: 192.168.0.158:6875 if i put that i can access from inside my network (but of course not from outside) 186.50.123.25:6875 if i put that (my public ip), i can access from outside but not from inside Thanks. p.s.: of course i have a portforwarding configuration in the router (i already have other server working). ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ElevenNotes · 2023-11-02 19:08 First of all use a reverse proxy like Traefik or nginx and only allow the stuff you want to expose. Second use a FQDN like bookstack.domain.com. Then use split DNS to access it via FQDN. On your LAN it will resolve to 192.168... and from WAN to 186.50.... as added benefit get a valid SSL certificate for your FQDN and only access boockstack via HTTPS. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- 9acca9 · 2023-11-02 19:51 hi, mmm... can you help me? i already install traefik, and get this: And now??... Thanks. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- applesoff · 2023-11-03 19:02 Safest best is to use wg-easy and a DDNS like duckdns.org to connect to your network without exposing it to the internet
