So, I normally use TiviMate to record streams to my NAS, but I cannot
control this/set up recordings when out-and-about. Does anynbody know
of a recorder with a web interface that I can connect to when away
from home and schedule recordings? Thanks!

tvheadend used to be the go-to recording tool.

What are you recording from, what kind of hardware? And what kind of
streams, is it cable, sattelite, online streams?

Usually the choice of recording software depends on the hardware as
well as on access to the scheduling of the streams. For TV/satellite
channels there are services that offer the programmes.
