Solution for tracking stuff (like a journal) with tags, statistics, and a cool UI? reddit / selfhosted ---------------------------------------------------------------------- vdaiep · 2023-10-29 20:35 I want a self hosted app to help me track any kind of stuff I do. Not a journal/diary with full text boring entries that take time to write, but instead instances of repeated actions or stuff, that can be somehow countable. I can think of: - smoking - eating - coding - sleeping - basically anything trackable/countable Filter with tags. Statistics, plots, and data visualization. Everything with a cool and intuitive UI. I want to get big numbers, detect tendencies, and have a journal of everything I remembered to track. Does this exist? If not, I could create it. It would be a really fun challenge, but I don’t want to reinvent the wheel. Thanks in advance! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ParticularCod6 · 2023-10-29 22:58 Just use Habitica and ignore the gamification aspect. It could not be easier to self host. Literally a single docker command ---------------------------------------------------------------------- innocuousAzureus · 2023-10-30 09:36 Is it Free Software though? Is there a repository somewhere? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ParticularCod6 · 2023-10-30 10:23 >Habitica https://github.com/HabitRPG/habitica ---------------------------------------------------------------------- falcorns_balls · 2023-10-31 02:38 throwing out a mention for usememos.
