I have a pivpn on a pi & a mesh system(192.168.5.1) connected to the isp's router(192.168.0.1). My server is connected to the mesh, is there a way I connect to my server via the pivpn... isp router and mesh have different ssid & operate different lan ip ranges... image may help. reddit / selfhosted ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Stryker1-1 · 2023-10-27 18:31 First thing you need to do is eliminate the double nat situation you have going on. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- bubblegumpuma · 2023-10-27 18:37 Is there a route between the two subnets (ie. device on the ISP router can ping your server)? If there is, you should be able to put up an SSH server on the VPN box, log into the VPN, and then from there SSH into your server as normal. Look up "SSH jumpbox" or "jump server" for more info on this sort of usage. If there isn't a route between the two subnets, you should still be able to do this, you just might have to forward a port from your mesh system to the server behind it, as if you were forwarding it to the world - in this case you wouldn't be exposing anything to the wider internet, since "WAN" is just your ISP router's LAN. You'll then be able to SSH in using the mesh system's IP address in 192.168.0.0/24 rather than the server's address on 192.168.5.0/24. It's a bit of a hacky fix, but I've had to do similar due to being stuck with a ISP router that I can't put into bridge mode. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Fluffy_Comfortable16 · 2023-10-28 03:23 I also have a mesh system, and I recommend that you change the mode on your mesh from Router to AP, just do a quick Google search like" {mesh system name} access point mode" or something like that...makes life a whole lot simpler
