Alternative self hosted alerta.io reddit / selfhosted ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Mabed_ · 2023-10-25 14:36 Hello, Do you have a self-hosted alternative for centralized alerting? M. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- thekrautboy · 2023-10-25 14:40 No i dont. But you can search this sub for it. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Mabed_ · 2023-10-25 14:41 I searched and got no answer so I'm asking for the community's opinion ---------------------------------------------------------------------- thekrautboy · 2023-10-25 14:43 Weird, i get tons of useful results when i search for alert or alerting ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Mabed_ · 2023-10-25 14:46 If you judge the product by its name you are wrong. And before telling me that you have results, understand the usefulness of the product. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- thekrautboy · 2023-10-25 14:48 wtf hahah ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Optimus_sRex · 2023-10-25 18:10 In u/Mabed_s defense, Alerta is a very specific product and does a very specific thing. It gives you a unified dashboard of alerting software. Graphana might be sort of similar. I don't know. I have used Alerta in professional environments and really liked it's functionality. If you want either "big screen" type of web page view that shows you what's up and what's down from various sources, it's pretty good. https://alerta.io/ ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Optimus_sRex · 2023-10-25 18:13 I think that DevOps might be the better subreddit for this question. I don't know of any Alerta alternatives. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- thekrautboy · 2023-10-25 18:30 Oh yeah i understand what it is. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Optimus_sRex · 2023-10-25 18:41 If you understand what it is, why were you being kinda shitty? It seemed like a valid question. I was certainly interested in the answer. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- thekrautboy · 2023-10-25 20:35 You probably have not seen the OP before they edited. It was just a basic very lazy request ala "please search for me", and they obviously did not search themselves around here because with basic terms i was able to find discussions about centralized alerting etc. But people here are not to serve as someones Google Assistant, if OP expects someone to do a basic search for them, great, but it wont be me. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Optimus_sRex · 2023-10-25 20:38 I don't disagree with your basic tenant. But Alerta is a specific thing and I don't think the question is invalid. I had never looked for an alternative to it, but it's basically an "alerting dashboard." ---------------------------------------------------------------------- thekrautboy · 2023-10-25 21:07 I dont mind the question at all. The issue i had was the way it was asked.
