I access everything through two separate Organizr instances - one is for media adjacent applications, the other is a sandbox that I use to test things I only want access to for myself Currently I am setting up Mealie for my home, which has been a game changer ---------------------------------------------------------------------- lilolalu · 2023-10-23 17:13 Zammad OpenProject Authentik Funkwhale Peertube Readymedia Slskd Unifi Controller ---------------------------------------------------------------------- usrdef · 2023-10-23 17:17 * Vaultwarden + VW Backup * UptimeKuma * Prowlarr * Gitea * OpenGist * SyncThing * Duplicati * Docker + Portainer I want to use VS Code Server, however, I've had an issue with getting an error and not being able to enable syncing. Not long ago my xTeVe just stopped working, after a while of trying to fix it I gave up and stumbled across threadfin as an alternative. The GUI is so much quicker, it takes roughly 4 minutes to load a filter change whereas previously it was 20+ using xTeVe. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- esturniolo · 2023-10-23 22:27 Backups are ALWAYS welcome and a must. Imagine that you create some new entry and your VW instance gone. Your new entry went away too. BTW, why using a separate container to do the backups? Copying the db on the fly, then compressing/encrypting the copy and finally move it to whenever you want using rclone works just like a charm. And you can use rclone for a lots of backups too. I’m doing this for years without any problem. And yes, I did DR with those backups (one wasn’t a drill) and always works. I’m just curious. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- youmeiknow · 2023-10-23 22:40 >why using a separate container to do the backups? Copying the db on the fly, You mean this for the VW specific or any docker images? My setup is like I have multiple VMs and have dockers running. Currently use Bitwarden premium but always wanted to try Vaultwarden. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- esturniolo · 2023-10-23 22:47 I’m using this setup in VW and Memos. The rest of services that I use don’t need backups or they have their own way to do it. Backups every 4 hours, having the last entire week and every night Proxmox backups for every LXC container and VM. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- PMaxxGaming · 2023-10-23 23:04 I've been thinking about switching to threadfin; do you have much experience with the backup channels feature? If so, does it work by automatically connecting to a different channel if one fails to load? That would be a godsend if so. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- usrdef · 2023-10-23 23:14 It depends on how you're doing backups. I have vaultwarden backup doing backups but with my GPG key encrypting the files and then sending them off to be filed away. I don't let unencrypted / loose files sit around, and with the VW backup system, it does all the encryption for me, then it gets queued in a folder where duplicati takes over. Obviously there are other means of backing up, as you could do duplicati itself because it offers GPG / AES. Just depends on your security plan. But if you mean you're doing backups where you take the VW files and then just put them in a folder by themselves, no, I highly highly advise against that. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- blinger44 · 2023-10-23 23:19 I use QuickScan for scanning documents. They have a WebDAV integration so I setup a WebDav container. QuickScan uploads to WebDav. WebDAV puts the file into the “incoming” directory and paperless takes over from there. Sounds complicated but it’s very seamless. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- xdrolemit · 2023-10-23 23:21 * Caddy * MKVCleaver ---------------------------------------------------------------------- shadoodled · 2023-10-23 23:39 For IOS, [Swift Paperless](https://apps.apple.com/app/swift- paperless/id6448698521) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- rchr5880 · 2023-10-23 23:54 PiHole ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Whitestrake · 2023-10-24 00:03 For anyone looking for a good _unofficial_ Foundry image: https://hub.docker.com/r/felddy/foundryvtt OR, you can simply run the Node container and mount an unzipped Foundry package directly into the container and it'll run just fine. Onlyoffice for shared home document management with the wife. UrBackup for backups, Guacamole for remote access, WireGuard & TailScale for VPN (WireGuard to get on the network as another device, TailScale to connect to individual machines), PiHole, NodeRed, WebTop, and The Lounge. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Defiant-Ad-5513 · 2023-10-24 12:00 Currently working on a GUI for Traefik for logs, routes, middlewares is there anything you would also like then please dm me. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ghoarder · 2023-10-24 12:00 I kind of wrote a Gui for Caddy, well technically it's a DNS server to create dynamic SRV records based on your Docker labels but also has a manual entry section as well, there are a few caveats like you have to proxy to a hostname and not an IP, so might require you setup something like 192\_168\_1\_1.example.com on your domain, that's a limitation of SRV dns records though I think. Also you can't mix and match http and https endpoints. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ExoWire · 2023-10-24 13:50 Where do I find this?
