I'm looking for a music player application that can handle multiple devices reddit / selfhosted ---------------------------------------------------------------------- physx_rt · 2023-10-21 10:30 As above, I'm looking for a music player app that would ideally have one main app, preferably in Docker, providing a Web UI and several linux-based players (essentially mini PCs) could connect to it which it could control. It would need to be able to play music from NFS or SMB shared. Spotify integration is a bonus. If anyone knows anything that would fulfill at least half of the above, I would appreciate it. Thanks! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- arcadianarcadian · 2023-10-21 11:24 LMS (Logitech Media Server) is fulfilled for all you want. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Low-Chapter5294 · 2023-10-21 15:09 This is the way. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- physx_rt · 2023-10-21 17:15 That is quite ironic. I actually used to have a squeezebox and used it with LMS, but never realized that it would also support other clients. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- arcadianarcadian · 2023-10-21 20:08 I was using LMS with iPad, Linux desktop, windows, MacOS, Raspberry Pi, Android. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- physx_rt · 2023-10-22 20:26 Just wanted to say thank you for all. I'm set up with Logitech Media Server and couldn't be happier. The fact that it has a Truecharts app on TrueNAS Scale is just the icing on the cake.
