Use a reverse proxy and then point fail2ban to the reverse proxy's
logs. Do not expose portainer directly.

Each web application stores its logs individually, depending on the OS
as well as web server used and general configuration.

portainer isnt exposed directly, its behind cloudflare zero trust with
google auth and 2fa
