Yet another notes post reddit / selfhosted ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ContentWaltz8 · 2023-10-18 18:43 I apologize in advance for the formatting I am on my phone. I have been looking for a new notes app for a while now.T he closest thing I have found to what I am looking for is Carnet. But the Android app last time I used it was broken and buggy. Here is what I am looking for: 1. Has to have Android app with widgets, I need to be able to quickly look at my notes and write down new notes. 2. Very simple note taking app, I do not need to hack my productivity or whatever people are doing now with obsidian and logseq. 3. I want my notes to be synced somehow, I don't care if it's next cloud or sync thing or any of the other solutions 4. I would like to be able to pull up my notes in a web interface so I don't have to install something when I go to a different computer 5. Ideally I don't want to deal with formatting, I currently use next cloud notes. The only formatting I care about is making my list of items a checkbox list. Is there any note taking app that is capable of this? Or am I just going to have to go back to Google keep? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Legitimate_Farm_3095 · 2023-10-18 19:26 https://awesome-selfhosted.net/tags/note-taking--editors.html ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Safe-Tap8886 · 2023-10-18 19:55 [memos](https://usememos.com). The app moe memos has widgets on iOS so I assume it also has widgets on Android. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ContentWaltz8 · 2023-10-18 21:50 Unfortunately, no widgets on Android. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Safe-Tap8886 · 2023-10-18 23:49 Sad. Seems like they have more features on iOS, but android widget is on their roadmap https://github.com/mudkipme/MoeMemos/discussions/128. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- needadvicebadly · 2023-10-19 09:39 I use Obsidian + Syncthing. Works across all my devices (including iOS). ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ContentWaltz8 · 2023-10-19 14:38 None of those fit my needs.
