So, weird project, but Im using a old laptop (i3 3rd gen + 4gb ddr3)
as a small home minecraft server/ media center.

Performance aside, I want a device that I can boot into a linux
enviropment, into a desktop or UI or something like a TV OS or Steam
Big Picture. I want to add custom entries of "apps" or softwares to
that list. I plan on adding a minecraft server GUI Wrapper and Plex. I
plan on using AntiMicroX to be able to only use a gamepad to use the
interface.

I've thought on using something like Plasma Bigscreen, or even
something like libretro/ retroarch/ retropie to do this, but I feel
that Im missing some tool or something that would help me. Any
recomendations?
