Zenphoto: animated gifs

Hi, I've spent all day setting up a Zenphoto server, and after much
strife, I've finally got one up and running, and I'm currently adding
photos. However, I have a lot of animated gifs that I'd like to
display as animated instead of as static thumbnails. Clicking the
image and displaying it directly in the browser does not show an
animated gif either.

I've checked the admin panel and all documentation known to me and I
can't find out if this is possible, which would be very unfortunate as
part of the reason I chose Zenphoto was for displaying mainly animated
gifs. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
