shlink.io experience reddit / selfhosted ---------------------------------------------------------------------- JayDubEwe · 2023-10-15 16:04 Anybody using https://shlink.io/ ? Look for feedback on the product or if there is a more recommend alternative. TIA ---------------------------------------------------------------------- waeking · 2023-10-15 16:35 Super awesome. I use it with traefik for the reverse proxy. The api, the cli, and the web ui is well thought out. Runs very fast, with minimal resources. Oh and it has a qr code generator built in. Have been using Shlink for about a year now. I haven't looked for another one as it has been very stable. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- trexxeon · 2023-10-15 21:02 Tried shlink and it was weird, strange admin access and unnecessary hard to set up.. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- LavaCreeperBOSSB · 2023-10-15 21:08 I self host Kutt ---------------------------------------------------------------------- [deleted] · 2023-10-15 23:11 [removed] ---------------------------------------------------------------------- schubec · 2023-10-16 07:06 I set it up 3 days ago as docker image with Nginx Reverse Proxy for SSL and it just works :-) I am using the API only, I did not install the web frontend. Greetings! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- somebodyknows_ · 2023-10-16 11:40 Can you have auth or url shortening enabled only for the owner? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- origranot · 2023-10-16 12:39 Try to take a look at https://reduced.to ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Simong_1984 · 2023-10-16 12:55 We've used yourls for several years without issue ---------------------------------------------------------------------- blaine07 · 2023-10-18 01:28 Really like it but setup is overly complicated(as said above). ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Fluffy-Technology993 · 2023-11-08 11:46 One question: Can you edit your existing shortened URL's (the target)? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- luckman212 · 2023-12-28 02:48 yeah, agree setup was "weird" - ended up with 5 separate Docker containers, a frontend, a backend, a database, a cloudflared tunnel proxy, and something called "mercure" which is apparently for some kind of inter app message brokering. It works but I am not a fan of the fact that I can't even bookmark my instance because apparently the way the app works is it runs locally and generates a unique UUID for the "server" on each computer you use it on.
