Basically the title.
There's this app Foto Owl ([https://fotoowl.ai/](https://fotoowl.ai/))
that lets you dump all the photos from an event and then let's
somebody scan their face and it shows only the photos having
themselves (at full res).

Does an open-source version exists?

i think photoprism and immich can both do that

Both of them need you create an account, ask the owner to share the
album with that account, and then only can you filter photos.

Defeats the point since all photos become visible once an album is
shared.

btw sounds like a "make-believe" security feature. So if I was at that
event, took fotos of other people, what stops me from holding anyones
picture into the camera to see their photos?

As a photographer, you may. But having everyone's pic available to
anyone at the event is not acceptable I guess ....
