Hey,

a couple of months ago I published a new post about my own open source
project called Simple Infopanel here. Right after that I got some
comments from you that there are some things could be improved. So,
I've built a new release and rolled out it.

Simple infopanel is a free digital signage software. The program is
able to show images, descriptions, announcements, generate QR codes,
and you can also include a ticker with some news for example. For
administration, I created a simple GUI for managing it, where you can
change the layout, edit texts, URLs, select and upload images.

In the new release you can now also use videos instead of images. I
also rewrote the react code and changed the installation scripts,
since docker compose is integrated into docker itself.

As it is an open source project, the source code is also available on
GitHub. The documentation is available on the site: [www.simple-
infopanel.com](https://www.simple-infopanel.com)

I hope it will be useful for someone.

P.S. I know that there is a lot of advertising on the website. Since
I'm not really hoping for any donations, sad but I had to activate the
ads. Anyway, I'm sorry, but even with them it's not so easy to
maintain this project. I'm doing it now only because I like coding. I
hope for your understanding.

You won’t get users with this type of ad setup. Maybe use affiliate
links or something less invasive on mobile.

Well, I disabled the ads. Maybe I will find a better alternative.
Anyway, thanks!
