Web application for keeping track of M:N object relations? reddit / selfhosted ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Distinct_Ride6055 · 2023-10-14 08:35 Hi, I am looking for a web application that can keep track of two way object relations and provide an easy way to search them. For example, if one has a few U2F FIDO2 security keys, it would be useful to keep the record somewhere indicating which key(s) was used for which website(s). Should one of the key is lost or broken, they can easily find out the websites and make appropriate changes. Is there some existing web app available that allows one to easily add/modify/query the data? Now I wrote this I realized that it is pretty easy to do it myself with Django, but before I get started I would like to see if someone already done something similar... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- shadoodled · 2023-10-14 09:17 For the example you mentioned, I'm using tags on my password manager (1Password in this case). They also have actually Linked Items feature but tags work better for my use case. But having said that, I'm also looking for such an app. One where you can actually define the type of relationship. Examples like * Item A uses Item B * Item C is stored in Item A Plus points if it could show a graph of those relationships - sort of like the graph in Obsidian. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- dazchad · 2023-10-14 16:31 There are plenty of rest interfaces to Postgres/MySQL/SQLite, including DML. Might be worth a check! I personally prefer plain old SQL but understand the appeal of something more fancy.
