Filestach for beginner reddit / selfhosted ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Admirable-Honey-1205 · 2023-10-12 21:00 Hello everyone. I installed a 10Gb Minio server so that I can sometimes exchange some data with my friends. I was looking for a simple webUI and found Filestach, which I immediately installed on Docker. But now I'm completely confused and the documentation doesn't help me. I simply can't find a way to enter my Minio IP in the backend which is also very minimalistic at the moment. I probably need a few plugins but I don't know how to install them. Is it so complicated because of the free version and is there a beginner's tutorial somewhere that breaks down the individual steps better.Thank you ---------------------------------------------------------------------- thekrautboy · 2023-10-13 04:48 https://www.filestash.app/s3-browser.html https://www.filestash.app/docs/support/ https://github.com/mickael-kerjean/filestash/issues ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Admirable-Honey-1205 · 2023-10-13 04:58 Thanks, but the support doesn't really help because it's only for paying customers. From the documentation I can't figure out how to change the link to my Minio server and install plugins. There isn't a bug either. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- thekrautboy · 2023-10-13 05:25 > Thanks, but the support doesn't really help because it's only for paying customers. I am aware. Then maybe you should become a paying customer if you need support? > From the documentation I can't figure out how to change the link to my Minio server and install plugins. I linked you their [Github issues](https://github.com/mickael- kerjean/filestash/issues) page so you could consider making a post there, and maybe someone from that community will assist you. Honestly, no offense to the creators of that project, but yes the documentation is terrible and as it currently is the app itself barely works at all. The only thing i can tell is that the UI and doc looks nice, based on the screenshots. But thats not enough obviously. About the state of that project, you might want to read this announcement too: https://github.com/mickael- kerjean/filestash/issues/629 Consider using other tools like Filebrowser or SFTPGo etc, they work great and have "free support" if you need it. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Admirable-Honey-1205 · 2023-10-13 05:33 Perfect, thanks for the advice, I also think I need alternatives.
