Setup download folder - external Drive

Hello all,

Let me start by warning, I'm new to dockers and I'm still learning!

I set up my first self-hosting home server, and so far I have docker
for CasaOS, Deluge, and plex. All of these are running on the SSD of
the device.

As the next step, I would like to set up the download of the torrents
for the external Driver. I think its related to volumes, and I set up
a volume. But the torrent is still being downloaded to my internal
SSD. Any idea how I can fix it to download only for external SSD
drive?

-v /usb/drive/downloads:/downloads

Will mount the local folder /usb/drive/downloads in your container
under /downloads

Thanks for your reply. I believe I have the volume correct, but, when
I download a torrent to /downloads it will be moved to
/usb/drive/downloads ?

The test I did, the space on the internal drive was decreasing until I
ran out of space.

Then you simply need to configure your torrent client differently.

Sure! But any advice? What should I do? Your reply didn't help much...
The torrent client is downloading to /downloads folder. How can I
unsure that is configured correctly?

This here is neither /r/torrents or /r/Deluge or /r/techsupport... If
you need to configure your client, try looking at the documentation of
it, or check what places they provide support for it.

Thanks for your reply. But I'm not entirely sure the issue is with the
client. If I run it outside the docker, everything works fine. My
problem is with the volume. I think its something wrong with my
configuration of the docker. That's why I asked for support here.
As soon as I have the volume /usb/drive/downloads -> /downloads and
when I start downloading to /downloads the download should be placed
on the external drive? Does it use any internal drive space during the
download?
