How to import an external data in the Maildir formart into Mailcow?

I have a backup of one of my email accounts, of multiple domains, in
the *Maildir* format. I made it manually, and it’s not from a Mailcow
instance.

How to import a backup into a Mailcow?



I’m aware of the 2 import/export bash scripts of Mailcow, however, can
they be used in this case?

Will I also have to create a domain and mailbox in MailCow first, for
each corresponding domain and mailbox?

Solution? probably here. This guy gave a script to migrate mail data.

Basically;

/var/vmail/{domain}/ is your old server files which includes Maildir.

you have to copy those files into Mailcow data folder with same
structure, then you have change user permissions.
