Need help for an offsite server backup reddit / selfhosted ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Naloto17 · 2023-10-10 18:19 Hi, I have been trying to find how to setup an automatic backup every day of a server at my work on an offsite hardrive or NAS. If possible, only update the files that have changed during the day and keep a copy of both files. Any lead on how to do it or where I should start my research? Thanks! \*We already have an unused NAS, but from what I understand I would need one onsite and offsite for them to communicate? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- AnnualOasis · 2023-10-10 18:24 Syncthing ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ElevenNotes · 2023-10-10 18:34 rsync ---------------------------------------------------------------------- thekrautboy · 2023-10-10 18:50 SyncThing, rsync, rclone, etc. You could also simply use the search function. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Effective-Media-3373 · 2023-10-10 19:21 I've been using restic for my all my server backups(alongside daily Proxmox snapshots), twice a day. All incremental(Restic). And they are transferred to my NAS at home via a NFS mounted folder. For Restic, just google it. It's very easy to setup. Or ask ChatGPT, should get a pretty good answer for this kind of thing. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- kryptkpr · 2023-10-10 23:20 https://www.borgbackup.org/ is old faithful https://kopia.io/ is the cute new girl
