Help! I want to start hosting servers but I don’t know where to start reddit / selfhosted ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Michaelscarn69- · 2023-10-10 06:10 Currently, I’m hosting a data server with fly.io for an application. I have seen a lot of posts with amazing dashboards, I also host my movie+tv show library using jellyfin. Now, I have seen a lot of dashboards here where people get an insight of all their servers through that. Is it possible for me to setup a dashboard too? If yes, could someone please guide me on where to get started or what resources I should explore? I’m fairly new to everything so urmmm.. explain like I’m 5? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- thekrautboy · 2023-10-10 06:31 Simply look at the subreddit sidebar, find the *awesome selfhosted* list linked there. Go to the section called "Persona Dashboards". Look at those, find what you like and follow the documentation they provide to set them up. "Homepage" is a very popular one for example. For most of the dashboards, and a lot of selfhost projects in general, you should learn to use Docker. So if you havent done that yet, thats your start. You can also search this sub for phrases like your post and find existing discussions about "where to start", youre not the first asking this. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Michaelscarn69- · 2023-10-10 07:45 Whoa. That’s such a structured response. Exactly what I needed. I love you.
