MTA / SMTP with Scheduling capability reddit / selfhosted ---------------------------------------------------------------------- telenieko · 2023-10-09 13:32 Hi there, I am a big user of GMail's "Scheduled Send" feature. It allows me to reply at my pace and make sure the thread does not become a ping-pong match and replies won't come back earlier than expected. How to do that "on my own"? I would love to have an MTA or SMTP relay host that allows me to schedule e-mails with some header but I found nothing like that. Any ideas? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ElevenNotes · 2023-10-09 14:22 This featurs fails with the client since your client needs to support this feature. I only know outlook with selfhosted Exchange that can do this out of the book, but only while using outlook or web access, does not work on native mobile apps. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- telenieko · 2023-10-09 15:36 Either MTA or MUA is fine by me. My mail client (MUA) is Emacs (and Gmail web) so I already posted a similar question on r/emacs to see if I can solve it there: https://www.reddit.com/r/emacs/comments/173ry7w/ scheduled_email_sending/ :) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- sneakpeekbot · 2023-10-09 15:36 Here's a sneak peek of /r/emacs using the [top posts](https://np.reddit.com/r/emacs/top/?sort=top&t=year) of the year! \#1: [A co-worker sent this](https://i.redd.it/3g1a3e96nl5a1.jpg) | [30 comments](https://np.reddit.com/r/emacs/comments/zkn7ab/a_coworker _sent_this/) \#2: [Emacs maintainer Eli Zaretskii wins the Award for the Advancement of Free Software from the FSF](https://www.fsf.org/news/free-software-awards-winners-announced- eli-zaretskii-tad-skewedzeppelin-gnu-jami) | [23 comments](https://np. reddit.com/r/emacs/comments/122nj0x/emacs_maintainer_eli_zaretskii_win s_the_award_for/) \#3: [Interview with an Emacs Enthusiast in 2033 \[Colorized\]](https://youtu.be/urcL86UpqZc) | [41 comments](https://n p.reddit.com/r/emacs/comments/1460otc/interview_with_an_emacs_enthusia st_in_2033/) ---- ^^I'm ^^a ^^bot, ^^beep ^^boop ^^| ^^Downvote ^^to ^^remove ^^| ^^[Contact](https://www.reddit.com/message/compose/?to=sneakpeekbot) ^^| ^^[Info](https://np.reddit.com/r/sneakpeekbot/) ^^| ^^[Opt-out](ht tps://np.reddit.com/r/sneakpeekbot/comments/o8wk1r/blacklist_ix/) ^^| ^^[GitHub](https://github.com/ghnr/sneakpeekbot) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ElevenNotes · 2023-10-09 17:50 As I said exchange can do that with outlook. I don't know any other client with that feature in the UI. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- wideace99 · 2023-10-09 18:26 Nextcloud mail app has this option.
