Could I have remote access setup better? reddit / selfhosted ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Aquaragon · 2023-10-08 02:58 The main purpose of this post is I have been having issues sharing big files with filebrowser container. When I send a link to a large file my friend gets to about 20-30gbs then it fails. I have Xfinity with the fastest speed 1gb down and 30mb up along with their modem. I'm beginning to wonder if the tunneling I set up from the link above limits the bandwidth I can upload remotely. I've read that filebrowser can sometimes be faulty but I used to be able to share large files with this container. Am I missing something? Should I setup remote access differently? Thanks for all input. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- EndlessHiway · 2023-10-08 03:19 yes ---------------------------------------------------------------------- [deleted] · 2023-10-08 08:42 [removed] ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Aquaragon · 2023-10-09 05:03 Anything you recommend me looking into? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- EndlessHiway · 2023-10-09 05:31 I would use something that didn't decrypt all your data like Cloudflare. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Aquaragon · 2023-10-09 16:48 What do you use? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- EndlessHiway · 2023-10-09 17:44 I just set up a wireguard server. Works for what I need. Really cloudflare is okay too. I doubt they have time or the interest in spying of you when they have much bigger customers they could spy on. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Aquaragon · 2023-10-09 19:53 Ok sweet, thank you. I'll check it out.
