I was wondering if it immediately uploads the information to Whois after I purchased the domain or is there a window of time that I have to get this service. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- zarlo5899 · 2023-10-07 02:30 o its done immediately ---------------------------------------------------------------------- lilolalu · 2023-10-07 07:43 .de / Germany doesn't do whois since like 10 years for privacy reasons. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- JakeSully-Navi · 2023-10-07 15:31 Most registrars need legit whois info as customer. But within European Union they must offer a whois protection to the public. So your personal info of the domain is then hidden to public. But the customer account will still contain your personal information incase if you choose to use the domain for criminal activity or so. Then law enforcement needs ownership details from the registrar. But there is registrars out there that let's you be anonomys all together but that will make it higher risks that domain may be taken by icann or similar due to details is not real. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- GolemancerVekk · 2023-10-07 17:20 Normally a registrar that offers whois privacy should also offer the option to have it activated as soon as you buy/transfer the domain to them. Otherwise like you said what's the point. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- GolemancerVekk · 2023-10-07 17:32 Most EU ccTLD registries have this requirement for individual persons. The only EU exception I can think of is Slovenia who will publish your country of residence and your email in the whois even if you're an individual. Netim has whois privacy information for [all the TLDs they handle](https://www.netim.com/en/domain-name/extensions-list), click on the TLD and then on the "whois privacy" box on the TLD's page to see what is exposed. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- FasthostsInternet · 2023-10-18 15:09 Yes, we do. (: ---------------------------------------------------------------------- iebeju · 2023-10-29 02:57 how do I enable it ---------------------------------------------------------------------- FasthostsInternet · 2023-10-31 11:25 We keep your info secret by default.
