Does a decent self hosted "google analytics" software to measure your websites traffic exist? reddit / selfhosted ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Shane75776 · 2023-10-04 17:46 I've got a website that I'd like to track visitor counts and page visits, before I used google analytics which worked great for this and was simple to set up. But I'm wondering if there is something just as good that I could self host myself. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- TheEClassGuy · 2023-10-04 17:54 https://matomo.org/ ---------------------------------------------------------------------- RuaidhriM · 2023-10-04 17:55 Try typing “analytics” into the search on this sub. Few good matches. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- jusepal · 2023-10-04 18:21 https://github.com/awesome-selfhosted/awesome-selfhosted#analytics ---------------------------------------------------------------------- opensrcdev · 2023-10-04 18:30 https://github.com/PostHog/posthog ---------------------------------------------------------------------- guillermo_da_gente · 2023-10-04 18:57 Umami ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Shane75776 · 2023-10-04 19:06 I was just looking at this as an option. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Brent_the_constraint · 2023-10-04 19:17 What about the Webserver log file? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- guillermo_da_gente · 2023-10-04 19:20 It so cool, it has a docker image in github. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Vogete · 2023-10-04 21:23 [Plausible Analytics](https://plausible.io/) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- rgthree · 2023-10-04 21:36 I’ve used umami and matomo. Matomo is more feature rich, and umami is more approachable. Two things I like that matomo has that I can’t find in umami is 2 factor auth built-in, and a built-in way to ignore traffic (like, don’t count my own IP, etc). ---------------------------------------------------------------------- selfh-sted · 2023-10-04 21:51 Seconding Umami! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- TinyMicron · 2023-10-04 22:30 I've used Matomo and it's nice, but if the website is small and there aren't too many properties it might be a bit overkill. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- happyxpenguin · 2023-10-04 22:53 I'm just using Open Web Analytics ---------------------------------------------------------------------- therealSoasa · 2023-10-05 04:12 Unagi ---------------------------------------------------------------------- SchmalzTech · 2023-10-05 13:45 I use Plausible Analytics. It's lightweight on the pages and works well. It was easy for me to set up on my webserver. I self host business and personal stuff on my infrastructure so I just pointed a subdomain analytics.mydomain.net to the virtual host. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- fab_space · 2023-10-05 18:02 Matomo is the more analytics ish out there, quite straightforward migration for existing Ga users. I did it is very easy ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Sensiduct · 2023-10-07 00:25 https://swetrix.com - it's fully open source and selfhostable https://github.com/swetrix https://docs.swetrix.com/selfhosting/how-to ---------------------------------------------------------------------- [deleted] · 2023-10-24 12:03 [removed] ---------------------------------------------------------------------- [deleted] · 2023-10-24 12:03 [removed]
