Baserow install not going well. reddit / selfhosted ---------------------------------------------------------------------- RowdyRidger19 · 2023-10-04 15:27 Our server running containers already has caddy running and working for several containers. So I edited the docker-compose.no-caddy.yml -> docker-compose.yml and edited the urls to match the IP of the server. i did change the backend port: PUBLIC_BACKEND_URL: ${PUBLIC_BACKEND_URL-http://192.168.3.37:8000} to PUBLIC_BACKEND_URL: ${PUBLIC_BACKEND_URL-http://192.168.3.37:8800} I'm doing something wrong though. It doesn't load when visiting the URL. I did change the port from 8000 to 8800 everywhere in the docker- compose as the no-caddy version doesn't seem to use the env vars like the default compose file. What should be in /etc/caddy/Caddyfile entry for baserow? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- RowdyRidger19 · 2023-10-05 14:41 for anyone that that already has a reverse proxy and other containers and has issues getting baserow to work: Change the docker compose file ports to ports not in use. I chose 8082 and 5443 (http and https). Set the baserow\_public\_url to x.x.x.x:port (the ip of the server and the port you plan to use to connect to it). mine is http://192.168.3.37:3001 Change the .env to match for the baserow\_public\_url (url/ip and port should match the compose file) I didn't change the backend port in compose or .env. This what i did in caddy: caddy: :3001 { reverse_proxy localhost:8082 } :8801 { reverse_proxy localhost:8000 } this setup allowed it to work and i access at [http://192.168.3.37:3001](http://192.168.3.37:3001) It's not exposed to the internet yet. Once it is i'll adjust the caddy file to be [sub.domain.com:3001](https://sub.domain.com:3001) and sub.domain.com:8801a instead of just the port.
