Plausible event-data size reddit / selfhosted ---------------------------------------------------------------------- dziad_borowy · 2023-09-30 09:07 Hi all! Has anyone noticed anything unusual when running Plausible analytics? I've just checked the size of my docker volumes and plausible event- data folder was over 25GB. It was running on a small site, for a couple of months. Literally no traffic (except my own). So I deleted the folder and restarted and refreshed the site twice and the folder was 6MB. That doesn't seem very scalable. So I'd like to ask the community what's your experience on this? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- LoV432 · 2023-09-30 11:04 hmmm... I also run small site with mostly my own traffic and mine is also 13GB. A quick google search returned [this](https://github.com/plausible/analytics/discussions/588). I will test it out and see the result. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- LoV432 · 2023-09-30 11:33 Update! OP check your /clickhouse directory. It should contain [these 2 files](https://github.com/plausible/hosting/tree/master/clickhouse). In my case these 2 config files were somehow replaced with directories with same names. I manually deleted those directories and created those 2 files and then recreated the clickhouse docker container. Hopefully this will fix this issue? PS: To reclaim the space already taken by old logs you can follow this part of the guide: [https://theorangeone.net/posts/calming-down-clickhouse/#reclaim-some- disk-space](https://theorangeone.net/posts/calming-down- clickhouse/#reclaim-some-disk-space) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- dziad_borowy · 2023-09-30 11:46 Thank you so much!! These 2 things you mentioned fixed it (dirs -> files and cleaning old logs)!
