Library docker reddit / selfhosted ---------------------------------------------------------------------- lorax-06 · 2023-09-29 18:32 I'm looking to make my ebook library web accessible. I've tried 'calibre-web' but it was a little buggy and difficult to keep running, when it ran it was great though. I was going to try altescy/bookshelf, but thought I may put it out to the group for recommendations. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- xstar97 · 2023-09-29 18:48 I use [kavita](https://www.kavitareader.com/), can be self hosted via docker looks good and works great for my use case. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- FunkMunki · 2023-09-29 19:17 \+1 for Kavita. It works great for eBooks. I just wish it would do audio books as well. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- DistantRefaktor · 2023-09-29 19:19 Calibre, the best in a sea of bad options. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- jharder0002 · 2023-09-29 19:45 Audiobookshelf works pretty decent. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- austozi · 2023-09-29 19:47 Running calibre-web here without issue. I'm curious what issues did you have? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- FunkMunki · 2023-09-29 19:58 That's what I use for audio books. It's not too shabby. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- lorax-06 · 2023-09-29 23:10 it kept crashing. Seemed that every time I wanted a book it was down, which took an hour or so of investigation. When I re-imaged the device I just didnt install it. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- dennislwm · 2023-09-30 02:14 I use komga, which can be hosted via docker. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Gold-Ranger · 2023-09-30 07:38 \+1 more for Audiobookshelf. Just started using it for podcasts too and it's working nicely ---------------------------------------------------------------------- arcoast · 2023-09-30 07:48 Sorry to hear that, I've been running it for years with a massive ebook library using the linuxserver docker container and it's been rock solid for me. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- austozi · 2023-09-30 10:04 I use the same docker image. Also rock solid. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- lorax-06 · 2023-10-01 14:15 Thanks all
