nextcloud caddy url issue reddit / selfhosted ---------------------------------------------------------------------- RowdyRidger19 · 2023-09-28 11:54 Moved our nextcloud instance internal and using caddy. SSL is handled by caddy, previously was a stand alone vm in DigitalOcean. So i've removed the :443 part of the apache config. Domain did not change. just the server and now behind a reverse proxy. It's working except that it's returning the full url, instead of hiding index.php (pretty urls) What I want is to change the url like NC does on it's own when served directly from apache which uses apache rewrite. Normally it would be *https://nc.domain.com/app/dashboard* What is has right now is *https://nc.domain.com/index.php/app/dashboard/#/* presented to the user I've read the docs on rewrite and looked at examples from V1 of caddy, but nothing i do is making it work. Currently the Caddyfile is `nc.domain.com` `{` `header Strict-Transport-Security max-age=31536000` `redir /.well-known/carddav /remote.php/dav 301` `redir /.well-known/caldav /remote.php/dav 301` `reverse_proxy` [`192.168.3.32:8080`](https://192.168.3.32:8080) `}` ---------------------------------------------------------------------- RowdyRidger19 · 2023-09-28 20:24 Figured it out. Essentially moving it behind a proxy the vhost file needed changed to a different domain name. Also added the entries to the config for reverse proxy Nextcloud mentions in documentation. The last issue was the new server, apache was disabling override on /var/www because of the default apache.conf file. For that directory i change it to allow override Once i did that, url rewrite started working as expected and my issues went away.
