Tailsacle with Immich

**TLDR;** how to setup Tailsacle with Immich on windows with docker?

I would appreciate any help, I will try to explain the situation as
best as possible.

I have a computer with Win 10 pro and I run Docker on it which
contains immich

immich's files:

`.env`

`docker-compose.yml`

`hwaccel.yml`

`photos`

located on disk `H:`

Now that I've activated immich I want to allow myself to access it
remotely in order to back up my photos even when I'm not at home, I
found tailsacle which is free and end-to-end encrypted and doesn't
require too much prior knowledge

I have installed tailsacle on both my computer and my android phone

I was able to get a ping between them and everything works as it
should

I tried to set in the immich application the address I got from
tailsacle together with a port number of 2283 and with the api I got
from the immich web but when I tried to connect it says that it can't
access the server

I'm sure there's probably something I'm missing in the definition of
.env or docker-compose.yml but I really can't figure out what

I tried to read tailsacle's and immich's doc but I came out completely
confused

I would appreciate any help on this!

Have you configured tailscale to provide the local subnet?

That shouldn't matter in this case. Based on the OP, it sounds like
Tailscale and Immich are installed on the same box.

What does your compose file look like?

Just use the local machine IP when connected via tailscale, the one
you use to access immich web. No need to use a tailscale IP address.

I had the same problem with Immich in a container where the app would
not connect when I'm not on local network. Never got it resolved
despite trying for a couple of week. I've since moved on to
Photoprism. If anyone has a solution, I would like to give Immich a
try again.

I'm considering doing something similar but using Cloudflare Tunnel
instead of Tailscale.

I was able to understand what the problem was, my computer has Eset
and it blocked port entries and that's what the problem was

I have the same combo, this should work with no additional setup. Are
you sure you you're using right port (2283) and address? I connect
with http://:2283 without issues.
