Damn, so is bash.org dead for good? reddit / irc ---------------------------------------------------------------------- XOIIO · 2023-11-16 09:20 I sadly missed the glory days of early internet, message boards and IRC, but man, I remember reading bash quotes and enjoying the hell out of it. I accidentally opened the android app that I had most recently used, quite a while ago albeit, and found out that the site is dead. From searching I guess it has happened on and off before but it seems like it's been dead for 10 months now? If so, damn, RIP. I don't think you were getting updates, and yeah, there's bound to be backups, but I'll miss you Qdb.us seems basically dead too. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- IBNash · 2023-11-16 19:04 Shame, I'd have happily mirrored and hosted it. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- TiltedWombat · 2023-11-17 18:14 I've seen this exact part verbatim but you can use waybackmachine to read bash ---------------------------------------------------------------------- CoffeeMetalandBone · 2023-11-18 11:02 who maintained it? if it's a hosting issue i'll gladly keep it running in perpetuity. bash.org should live forever even if it's just as a museum piece ---------------------------------------------------------------------- CoffeeMetalandBone · 2023-11-23 02:12 same ---------------------------------------------------------------------- redditcommander · 2023-12-15 20:51 [https://archive.org/details/bash.org.txt](https://archive.org/details /bash.org.txt) Thankfully someone grabbed every quote (as near as I can tell) and uploaded them onto [archive.org](https://archive.org). The vote metadata wasn't preserved. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- CoffeeMetalandBone · 2023-12-16 05:06 bless your soul! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Infinite_Meal6662 · 2023-12-17 03:44 today i went for [bash.org](https://bash.org) for old times sake, it's gone. found this post on reddit. Now browsing [bash.org](https://bash.org) quotes on the wayback machine. I've never felt so old in my life.
