Installing anope services :) reddit / irc ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Overlord484 · 2023-06-08 23:47 I'm running Debian bullseye, I've got an instance of ircd-irc2 running, and I'd like to connect anope to it. I've got anope downloaded, and I changed the default port to the one I'm using. I think the problem is it's got the wrong protocol specified, but I can't figure out which one to use. Do these two packages not work together? Is there anywhere I can go to find some documentation on this? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- skizzerz1 · 2023-06-09 01:46 I doubt anope supports that ircd. Try inspircd instead. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Overlord484 · 2023-06-10 05:25 I've moved to ngircd, still trying to get Anope to work. I've been resisting jumping on IRC to actually ask for help about it, and I've been trying to work from [https://wiki.ircnow.org/index.php?n=Openbsd. Anope?from=Anope.Install](https://wiki.ircnow.org/index.php?n=Openbsd. Anope?from=Anope.Install). Now I"m getting "Successfully connected to uplink #1 [12.0.0.1:6667](https://12.0.0.1:6667) \\n ERROR: Server not configured here" Don't suppose you know any other good docs? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- [deleted] · 2023-06-11 04:18 [deleted] ---------------------------------------------------------------------- acidvegas · 2023-06-11 04:19 https://github.com/ngircd/ngircd/blob/master/doc/Services.txt ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Overlord484 · 2023-06-11 07:33 Thanks, I think I've actually got it figured out at this point (mostly), but I'm trying to get some notes together and I'll definitely include this!
