someone formatted my D partition from a program

a program just look like the usual MIRC dedicated to enter an arab
server i was using it the admins always tell me don't talk with this
girl again ir so stupid stuff like that, sometime they pit the name of
the server in my windows host file to block me from entering it, then
the last thing they did they formated my whole D partition it there a
way to get my data back

Flashbacks from 2k2! Always use official clients. Never use scripts
unless you know the language and read the script.

If your files were recently deleted you might be able to get them back
by using some disk recovery tools.

your partition???

Ugh, that’s terrible. I don’t know for sure if this will do it, but
you could try [EaseUS](https://www.easeus.com/datarecoverywizard/free-
data-recovery-software.htm) for data recovery. They also have a
partition manager, which might be useful too. Let me know if either
help. Be more careful next time, OP.

Wait. A mirc client that allowed to change your host file and format
your drive without ANY prompt? Or did you just click OK without
reading.  I found it strange the client has admin right to your system
automatically.   Did u got asked to run the client in admin mode?

Anyway…
Unplug the drive first to prevent any further data writing on the
drive (avoid overwrite). And look for any LEGIT data Recovery
software…. Usually majority of data still there if you act immediately
(unless they low level formatted it) ….

But consider this a lesson learn… use LEGIT software and OFFICAL
clients… don't run  random script without reading it and don't blindly
click OK/accept.

it's name is kalamngy they change my host file always without clicking
on anything the client has the same logo as mirc, if you guys can
reprt the whole thing and shut it down you could  do a great work for
ppl

Ah…… how about just don't use that? I mean how on earth you found this
version is already questionable!
Beside. You can simply ask to shutdown some other's "work".  It take
lot of procedure and lawsuit…. And even if we shut this one. There are
sh*t tons of bad software out there!
Just simply use legit official version of software ….
Nothing wrong with the official mIRC!
